Wow Erika congratulations! Seriously, it is so inspiring that you have risen the ladder simply by being your true self, and doing what you love! As a perspective student going into Art School it's really really encouraging to see success from someone who has already taken the same path. And truth of the matter is that your drawings are not just effecting Brooklyn and New York, but they are affecting, and I can say this: women on a global scale, who are struggling with their femininity are starting to see themselves in the faces of your blank haired drawings. Not as escapist work, but as inspiration to see their goals to the finish. And because fathers play such a huge role in every young and older women lives, I truly see a community being formed of young women, a circle of sorts, striving to seek justice. (Not necessarily a feminist remark, but we bound together because we are all sisters). On a personal note, I've been following your work for quite some time, and it's been obvious in your work that it's not just a drawing. It is justice, in some shape or form. God has given you an amazing talent. In thought and in prayer, Jill.
Wow, Erika! This is amazing! I'm so happy all these good things are happening for you! I live in Australia and I was wondering if I could still purchase this? Anyway, your drawings are lovely and I wish you the best! xx
ahaha oh noooooooo! you got it unsigned, then? Sending things overseas is tricky - every time i sell a drawing or a print overseas the same thing happens! it's a good thing they're not too expensive!
