checking in to say hello to everyone and also to confirm that i am working! final products are just harder to reach in the winter time, i suppose! joints don't move as quickly, etc. i'll bring you some painting progress photos tomorrow... i promise. see you then! in the mean time stay warm and be brave out there!! (i say so coming from montreal where there is a bank of snow 6 feet high outside my window and it has snowed every single day this month! brrrrrrrr)-e.
update: i completely forgot to bring my camera so my cell phone will have to do yet again (srysrysrysry)! they go in hand with the update i showed you in this post. i feel like i can't show this one in full quite yet. it's not finished yet. it's challenging me.. and it is a good feeling to be challenged, only to learn from it. my prof said to me, when i admitted defeat to the painting of flesh, that it was refreshing hearing someone like me say, "i don't know how." so anyway, fingers crossed and full steam ahead.

Looking forward to the progress photos!
P.S. I'm *very* glad it's been snowing here... it makes for a better atmosphere while skiing in Mont Royal or skating in Old Port =)Bon courage!
skating in old port! i can't say i've done that, but it sounds so romantic. i stay away from that neighbourhood in the winter because it's so cold by the water. i live right near jeanne mance park though and the city sets up a huge rink every year for people to play hockey in the park. it's really nice, actually. between the hockey players and the cross country skiiers our neighbourhood certainly doesn't die in the winter!
Keep it up! Your little sneak peeks give glimpses of great things to come.
Ah nice area - you're set up for Tam-tams! I live close to UdeM and usually skate at Kent Park (on CDN) when I want to play a little hockey. It's a great break from the lab (as is checking out your work)!
Ah I can't believe you haven't been skating down there. I'd offer to take you out skating but you surely have rules about that sort of thing - lots of strange folks online =)
6 ft of snow! How wonderful, we have none at all here.
I can not wait to see them, Erika! :D
Otherwise, I think I have chosen the worst month to come to Montreal. Hahaha. Oh, my.
meeeeeeeeep i been workin hard as well! hustle.
yea we love our neighbourhood, actually! i'll take your word for the skating. i'll check it out one of these days.. today was too cold! (never trust sunny days in montreal!)
it's true that 6 ft of snow isn't so bad. it has its moments, that's for sure!
12FV - wicked! just make sure you're taking the time to have some fun!
i have an art show end of this month. seems like youve been busy with art as well :)
keep it up!
